GREENHOUSE GASSES

Picture
Global warming is one of the most well-known effects of Greenhouse gasses. Greenhouse gasses affect climate changes and the atmosphere. In the last couple hundred years the CO2 levels in the atmosphere has increased dramatically. It also contributes to the rising temperature levels throughout the world. This causes water levels to rises and the amount of hurricanes to increase. Global Warming is also causing the polar bears to lose their homes in the polar icecaps.

DEFORESTATION

When people start to expand cities they destroy more and more of the world’s forests. This is also known as deforestaion. This also contributes to extinction and global warming. When an area is harvested for lumber or use as farm land, the animals there either lose their home or hunting grounds. Deforestation also contributes 20% of global greenhouse gas emissions. This in turn, helps in adding causes to global warming.

HUNTING AND POACHING

DODO BIRD
When an animal is hunted to extinction it affects the rest of the ecosystem. The same also goes with plants. The most well known animals hunted to extinction are the Dodo bird and the Tasmanian tiger. The dodo was hunted for food, while the Tasmanian tiger was hunted for sport.
